I am delighted to announce the appointment of Graham Eden as the new Area Lead Volunteer for FRIENDS OF CHERNOBYL'S CHILDREN WOKING (BSO). Graham will officially step into this role at the upcoming Gilwell Reunion, succeeding Nathan Prince. More details on the plans for this year’s BSO presence at Gilwell Reunion will follow soon.
Between now and Gilwell Reunion, Graham will work closely with Nathan to help with a seamless transition. This period will allow for a comprehensive handover to ensure continuity of the Area’s current work.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Nathan for his exceptional dedication and contributions over the past five years. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing BSO, and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
Graham brings a wealth of experience to this role, currently serving as the BSO Area Perception Team Leader. His extensive background includes various positions at the Group, District, and Region levels in Scotland. I am confident that his skills and passion for Scouting will greatly benefit BSO as the Area continues to grow and evolve.
I would also like to thank all those who took the time to consider and apply for the role, as well as the search team formed with volunteers from across BSO and a representative from the Boy Scouts of America's Transatlantic Council.
Please join me in welcoming Graham to his new position and in thanking Nathan for his outstanding service.
