Embark on an adventure at the Essex International Jamboree 2024 (EIJ 2024) from July 27th to August 3rd, 2024, at Boyton Cross, Chelmsford, Essex, UK. Building on the legacy of past FRIENDS OF CHERNOBYL'S CHILDREN WOKING (BSO) summer camps, EIJ 2024 promises an extraordinary festival-like experience combining adventurous activities, cultural exchanges, and lifelong memories.
BSO invites Scouts, Explorers and adult volunteers to join us for the Essex International Jamboree 2024 (EIJ24), which will be biggest camp we’ve ever attended. We've had an amazing time at past Jamborees, and we're excited to make the next one even better!
Why BSO Loves EIJ:
- Fun and Adventure: Imagine a week filled with more than 100 activities, from abseiling to zorbing! There's never a dull moment at EIJ24.
- Global Friendship: Meet Scouts and Guides from all over the world, make new friends, and learn about different cultures.
- Skills and Challenges: Learn new skills, take on exciting challenges, and discover your potential.
- Eco-Friendly: EIJ24 is all about sustainability and the environment. Get ready for some exciting eco-friendly activities!

Echoes of the Past: A Journey Through Our Camps
Over the years, our many BSO summer camps have left a lasting impact on participants. Here’s feedback from last year’s Haarlem Jamborette camp:
- “It’s AMAZING! It’s been the best experience I've had in my life, really well organised” - Morgan, Paris Explorers
- “I think it's an experience to meet people that you will remember for the rest of your life from other countries” – Fernanda, Madrid Scouts
- “It was a great way to meet new people and try new things and have freedom” – Elizabeth, Dubai Scouts
- “I loved it, I made so many new friends that I have kept in contact with after camp that I really enjoyed it. Also, I believe that it was a good experience to be away from parents for a long time” – Alex, Dubai Explorer
- “It was extremely well planned, plus the leaders were really friendly and considerate” – Thomas, Fuengirola Explorers
